Here are some Popular news bookmarking sites that are especially made to target Indian surfers. Here you can submit any news or your articles along with your website's url. 2. Indianpad - In my view this is the best digg clone site specific to India. Here a user can also earn by showing ads on the stories submitted.

6. NewsCola - Its a great site. Its backed by ibibo labs which has millions of users in india. Ibibo itself has an option of starting a blog.

7. Indianbytes - This one is really great. I have seen many person using this one for submitting their articles and stories. Check this out. I am pretty sure that you will like it. You will not only like it but love it! Indianbytes posts and pages are indexed good by Google. I have personally seen many indianbytes pages being indexed on the first page and a lot more on the second page of google results.

Website Directories for Search Engine Optimisation

Website Directories are said to be a good way to get backlinks to your website, but are they actually worth the time it takes to submit to them?
There are loads of directories on the internet. It only takes a simple search on Google to find some, but you normally find that big directories such as Dmoz.org take over, and some of the smaller ones such as Sitedir.net struggle to reach decent places in the Search Engines.
Chances are you found some directories from forums, advertisements or maybe even directories of directories. These are the main places that Directory Owners target.

Advantages

• More Backlinks
  
• Possibly More Traffic
  
• Search Engines could find you quicker
  

Disadvantages

• Often crowded, so its difficult to see your link
  
• Normal people don’t search directories for results
  
• Might take a while to approve the link
  
• Takes a lot of time to submit to mass directories

Although there are more disadvantages than advantages, directories are still worth it. Although it takes a while to do to make a big affect, it is time well spent because eventually, if you submit to enough directories, it could just affect your PageRank in a positive way.
There is one way that you could make sure your link is crowded in with the rest though. Most directories have a Featured Link option where your link will be displayed at the top for a small fee.
